Qualifications:
* PhD Analytical Chemist
* 10+ years' experience in analytical spectroscopy and microscopy
* Extensive, hands-on experimental experience in infrared spectroscopy and optical microscopy or IRM as applied analytical techniques
* Fundamental understanding of complementary methods used in materials characterization and chemical analysis
* Experience with other spectrometric and related techniques, polymer or materials science, chemometrics and multivariate analysis
* Ability to work in teams and with different functional areas - R&D, Engineering manufacturing, marketing
* Excellent written and verbal communications
* Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
* Good analytical problem solving skills
Duties:
* Responsible for analytical spectroscopy-microscopy section
* Responsible for method development with measurement systems
* Problem solve on collaborative projects
* Perform chemical and materials analysis using spectroscopy and microscopy on a variety of sample types for a diversity of R&D applications
* Adapt and develop new methods for utilization of these measurement systems
* Understand R&D project analytical needs, interpret complex scientific data, and clearly communicate results to diverse stakeholders
* Conduct feasibility experiments as needed to ensure the most appropriate analytical techniques are implemented to support program requirements
