Qualifications:
* BS/MS Chemistry or related
* 7-10+ years experience in Aerospace Sealant product development
* Experience in scale-up and product market launch
* Experience in all manufacturing, packaging and quality processes
* Capable of developing a full process map from formula to finished product establishing process capability and tracking metrics
* Demonstrated record of polysulfide sealant formulation
* Experience re-formulating with different raw materials
* Ability and willingness to travel
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently
* Excellent analytical skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
Duties:
* Work closely with sales and the customers to develop formulations for new or improved products that meet customer specifications and desired performance characteristics
* Evaluate alternative raw materials including meeting with suppliers, formulating products using new raw materials, conducting cost analysis and testing to assure new formulations meet customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities and margin standards
* Prepare production formulas and process instructions for production
* Participate in cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives
* Explore new technologies that can be utilized in our products
* Manage project analysis and formulation design
* Provide direction and supervision to lab technicians
